For the purchase, delivery and replacement of the Citys Fiberglass Skylight Panels. The resulting contract shall include the cost of labor and materials, freight and other associated direct or indirect costs (excluding taxes) when replacing the skylight panels, gaskets, sealants and glazing caps for each area. The Citys objective is to contract with a qualified contractor who is capable of replacing the Citys skylight panels as per specifications. 1.The replacement skylights shall be self-supporting, structural composite sandwich panels with translucent skins and aluminum interlocking grid framework. 2. Crystal non-fire rated exterior over crystal fire rated interior, approximately 2- 3/4" x 12" x 24" grid pattern. 3. Approximately 11 panels with 47 1/2 " x 154 11/16" dimension. 4. Acceptable make and model includes Guardian 275 TransCurve Curved Translucent Skylight system or approved equivalent. 5. All measuurements needs to be verified in the field by Contractor prior to ordering material. The term of the resultant contract shall be for a one (1) year initial term. The City may, at its option and upon mutual agreement with the Contractor(s), extend the term of this agreement for an additional four (4) years as defined in 4.B. When subcontractors are used in the performance of certain functions under the contract, subcontractors shall be subject to the same terms and conditions as the Contractor. After award of the contract(s), Contractors may be required to attend a post-award conference when requested by the City. Any question related to this solicitation shall be directed to the Contract Analyst whose name appears above. Any Bidder shall not contact or ask questions of the department for whom the requirement is being procured. The Contract Analyst may require any and all questions be submitted in writing. Bidders are encouraged to submit written questions via electronic mail or facsimile, at least FIVE days prior to the bid due date. Any correspondence related to a solicitation should refer to the appropriate solicitation number, page and paragraph number. An envelope containing questions should be identified as such; otherwise it may not be opened until after the official Bid due date and time. Oral interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Only questions answered by a formal written amendment to the solicitation will be binding. It is the bidder's sole responsibility to determine and secure any and all licenses and permits the contractor needs to operate the facility, from any regulatory body having jurisdiction related to the services being provided. Such costs are the exclusive responsibility of the operator, operator must also ensure appropriate licensing of any sub-contractors, operator shall notify the City in writing within two (2) working days of any suspension, revocation or renewal. Work products/services delivered to the City will be subject to a complete inspection by the Department. Inspection criteria includes conformity to the specifications, quality and performance standards. The Contractor shall be fully responsible for shipping charges for replacement products to correct items not in compliance with specifications and/or work quality. The City of Glendale reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The City reserves the right to cancel the whole or any part of the contract due to failure of the Contractor to carry out any term, promise, or condition of the contract.
