Renovation of an educational facility in Berkeley Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Bids are to be submitted in triplicate. No bids are to be sent electronically. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids. Each bid shall be accompanied by the following: 1. Bid Guarantee Guarantee payable to the Board of Education that the bidder, if the contract is awarded to him, will enter into a contract thereof. Guarantee shall be in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000 and may be in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. 2. Consent of Surety Certificate from a surety company as per N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-25, stating that it will provide the bidder with a bond in such sum and form as required in the Specifications. 3. Pre-Qualification Affidavit showing pre-qualifications in accordance with the standards of and by The New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Building and Construction and the New Jersey Schools Development Authority. 4. DPMC Notice of Classification Showing Pre-qualifications in accordance with the standards of and by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, for bids $20,000 and over. For all School Facilities Projects, irrespective of project cost, all bidders and those with subcontractors for plumbing and gas fitting work, heating and ventilating systems and equipment, electrical work and structural steel and ornamental iron work, must be prequalified by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the New Jersey School Development Authority to trade or work classification and aggregate rating limit, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-33 et seq. on which they may submit bids. 5. DPMC FORM- Uncompleted Contracts Total amount of uncompleted contracts. 6. Ownership A statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of the stock in the case of a corporation, or 10% or greater interest in the case of a partnership. 7. Non-Collusion Affidavit 8. Affirmative Action Acknowledgement for Compliance with Affirmative Action Regulations 9. Public Works Contractor Registration Act (P.L. 1999, C 238) All contractors and subcontractors as defined in N.J.S.A. 34: 11-56.48 et seq. submitting a bid for this project shall be registered with the Department of Labor in accordance with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bidders must submit proof of Registration prior to Award of Contract. 10. Asbestos Acknowledgement Form 11. Business Registration Certificate Current valid Business Registration Certificate issued by the State Division of Revenue pursuant to P.L. 2004, C.57. Business Registration Certificate must be submitted prior to Award of Contract. 12. Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran Bidders are notified as follows: 1. Addenda may be issued by the Architect in accordance with the Specifications up to seven (7) business days prior to receipt of bids and the bidders are obligated on their own initiative to make an inquiry for examination of such addenda, if any. 2. No bid may be withdrawn after the date of receipt. 3. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination", N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. 4. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's and the New Jersey School Development Authority's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. 5. Bidders are notified that they must comply with provisions of N.J.S.A. 34:11 56.25 et seq., (Wages on Public Works) and that the contract to be awarded in this case shall contain a stipulation that the wage rate to be paid to workmen employed in the performance of the contracts shall not be less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry of the State of New Jersey. 6. Bidders are put on notice that the Board of Education is an exempt organization under the provisions of the New Jersey State Sales and Use Tax Act (N.J.S.A. 54:32B-1 et seq.) and is not required to pay sales tax. 7. All Bidders are put on notice that they are required to comply with all rules and regulations and orders promulgated by the State Treasurer pursuant to P.L. 1975, c. 127 and with all provisions of the N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 through 10:2-4 (Affirmative Action). If said bids are within budgeted amounts, the on site contract work shall commence no earlier than December 8, 2021. All work shall be completed no later than August 22, 2022.
