Renovation of a water / sewer project in Middletown Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

For Primary Settling Tank Rehabilitation The Bid consists of the following rehabilitations to four (4) existing primary settling tanks: Replacement of Influent Baffles including all new associated hardware. Replacement of Effluent Weirs and Troughs including all new associated hardware. Concrete repairs, if and where required. Expansion Joint Rehabilitation. The Contract Documents will be furnished electronically via password protected e-mail at no cost to the prospective bidder. Hard copies of the bid documents will not be available or issued at this time. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cash or bid bond in an amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable to the Township of Middletown Sewerage Authority without any conditional endorsement as guarantee that, if the contract is awarded to the Bidder, he will, within ten (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the Bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any certified check or cash. Each bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey guaranteeing that, if the proposal of the Bidder is accepted, they will furnish a Performance Bond in the face amount of the bid and the acceptance of the bid is contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid received, and to reject any and/or all bids as in its judgement may best serve the interest of the Authority. The Authority shall have a maximum of sixty (60) days from the receipt of bids to either accept or reject same. The Authority reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective Bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications or before awarding the contract. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the following: A. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, and the Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Requirements. B. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. C. Affirmative Action requirements (P.L. 1975, C.127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq.). D. Worker and Community Right to Know Act (N.J.S.A. 34:5A-1). The bid must be accompanied by a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10 percent or more of the stock, all in accordance with Chapter 33 of the Laws of New Jersey, 1977 (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2). Copies of the bidder's Public Works Contractor Registration pursuant to P.L. 1999, C. 238 and the Business Registration Certificate pursuant to P.L. 2004, C. 57 must also be submitted with bid. The Contractor shall begin work on or before the date indicated in the Notice to Proceed, within ten (10) days of the award of Contract, unless otherwise instructed by the Owner and shall continue regularly and uninterruptedly at a rate to insure completion of all work within Two Hundred Seventy (270) calendar days.
