Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Lakewood, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, fuel, tools, transportation, supplies, incidentals, and services required for the permanent destruction of five inactive water supply wells.The five inactive water supply wells were identified in a 2018 survey conducted by the WRD to evaluate wells potentially acting a pathway for contaminants in shallow aquifers into lower drinking water aquifers within two adjudicated groundwater basins; the Central Basin and West Coast Basin (CBWCB) located in southern Los Angeles County. Through the Proposition 1 Groundwater Grant Program (GWGP), the WRD applied for, and received, a grant provided by the State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB Agreement No.SWRCBD1912535) for the destruction of five inactive water supply wells. These five wells include Wells Commerce No. 6 (Commerce, CA), South Gate No. 23 (South Gate, CA), Vernon No. 5 (Vernon, CA), CWSC No. 7-02 (Commerce, CA), and CWSC No. 51-01 (Commerce, CA). Questions Due Date: Nov 18th 2021, 2:00 PM PST Intent to Bid Due Date: Dec 1st 2021, 2:00 PM PST Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the WRD, for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total maximum amount Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to submit performance and payment bonds with the Contract. A bond in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price shall be furnished, guaranteeing the faithful performance of said Contract, and a bond in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price shall be furnished for the protection of all laborers and materialmen. WRD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in any bid received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest responsible bidder. with the lowest evaluated bid amount as defined in the Diversity in Business and Local Business Preference Program Rules and Regulations.
