Renovation of a mixed-use development in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of January 10 the project is awarded to Lewan & Associates Inc for $753,992.02. Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) is seeking proposals for the implementation of network infrastructure equipment to address deferred maintenance. This project is a three-phase project to replace approximately 250-300 edge and distribution layer switches, 300-350 wireless access points (estimate based off unofficial predictive mapping) and provide additional network paths between campus buildings over the course of three years. These improvements would provide a more robust and stable network environment capable of supporting the university's evolving needs in a scalable and secure manner Over the course of the three phases, approximately 26 buildings will require replacement and decommissioning of old and implementation of new: Access and distribution layers switches Network monitorable UPSs Access Points Low voltage wiring Cable Management The objective of the program is to upgrade the network infrastructure in approximately 26 buildings on MSU Denver's campus over the three phases. Three buildings were selected for the first phase, but it is MSU Denver's intent to upgrade additional buildings during the first phase if the budgetary cost can support additional equipment.
