Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Ellicott City, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
As of June 28, 2024, this project has begun with groundbreaking. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. --- Approximately 1,630 linear feet (LF) of tunnel assumed to be constructed using drill and blast methods. An approach channel and a flume or shaft structure located at the upstream connection to the Hudson Branch. An outfall/discharge structure located at the Patapsco River. Planning and executing subsurface exploration programs to evaluate soil and rock condition for the proposed culvert tunnel. Installing monitoring wells to monitor groundwater level. Performing laboratory tests on soil samples and rock core samples that were obtained from the borings. Providing a geotechnical report that includes summary of field studies and laboratory test results to assist in the design.
