DASNY is soliciting the services of a General Contractor for a single prime construction contract at the State University of New York University at Albany campus. The scope of work includes the complete renovation of the existing G (Paine) & H (Zenger) portions of Colonial Quad at the University at Albany. The approximately 83,000 square feet of renovation includes two three-story residence halls with approximately 189 total beds, a two story lobby space connecting the two dormitories, and a lower level that will house a portion of a new recreation facility. The addition of a pavilion enclosing the existing sunken courtyard at the ground level will further expand the new recreational facility by providing a two-story space with an additional entry at the 1st floor (plaza level). The project scope of work includes, but is not limited to: asbestos abatement, selective demolition, concrete, masonry, metals, interior finishes, openings, specialties, equipment, furnishings, roofing, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communication, fire alarm, and sitework. The estimated construction value of this project is $30,000,000 - $35,000,000. The planned start date is May 2022 and the planned completion date is April 2024.
