This proposal will be used to acquire one fixed generator and one automatic switch to ensure continuity of services to the community. The Board of Commissioners of Dade County, Georgia, solicits competitive sealed proposal bids from qualified vendors to acquire one (1) fixed engine generator, and one (1) automatic switch further described under the scope of work. Questions regarding this proposal should be addressed to Mr. Alex Case, Director of Emergency Services for Dade County, Georgia by calling 706-657-4111, no later than five (5) working days prior to bid opening date.Any follow-up questions received after the pre-proposal conference shall be made in writing, and shall be answered accordingly in writing. Questions requiring written information must be submitted no later than ten (10) working days prior to bid opening date and mailed to Dade County Commission, Attention: County Clerk, P.O. Box 370, Trenton, GA 30752-0370. Telephone inquiries must be made between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. eastern daylight time Monday through Friday The Board of Commissioners of Dade County, Georgia reserve the right to award in part or in whole or to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or require additional information prior to award. Enclosed is a "Proposal Requirement and Non-Collusion Statement" that shall be signed and returned with the proposal. All vendors submitting a proposal will be notified in writing of award. Contractors are required to have the following qualifications: 1. Must be a licensed contractor in the State of Georgia. 2. Must have minimum of 5 years' experience installing generators. 3. Must have experience installing 250kw units and above. 4. Must be able to respond to down time situation within 30 minutes. 5. Must be able to have technician on site for repairs within two hours 24/7. 6. Must have available parts in stock at local warehouse. 7. Must be an installer and servicing dealer. 8. Must comply with all local, state and federal guidelines. 9. Must have all permits and inspections as required by the state or local government. 10. Must provide warranty for all equipment and installations. Generator #1 Dade County Sheriff s Office Jail Facility Scope of Work Prepare site and pour concrete pads for new generator and Transfer Switch based on engineered drawings. Provide all excavation for generator pad, transfer switch and conduits. Install 1000amp Nema 3R service rated automatic transfer switch to back up main switchgear. Install 250kw diesel generator 277/480volt 3phase. Provide crane to set generator in place and anchor to pad. Provide and install all conduit and wire as needed for power and controls. Provide grounding of generator and transfer switch. Install remote annunciator for generator alarms. Provide start-up and testing. Provide connection to portable generator during change over run the entire jail facility.
