Anticipated award date is on March, 2022.** The City of Alpena will receive proposals for repairs of existing boardwalk walkway within the Blair Street Park located on Lake Huron at the easterly terminus of Blair Street, Alpena, Michigan. The Contractor shall provide services for a period ending May 31, 2022. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities and to accept any proposal which in the opinion of the City Council may be most advantageous to the City of Alpena. PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SCOPE Contractor shall submit proposals to repair the existing walkway at the Blair Street Park. It is the intent of the City to replace the existing walkway in accordance with the attached plans from the original construction. Contractor shall evaluate the existing conditions and proposed plan for compliance with current building code. Contractor shall evaluate existing boardwalk to determine if the existing materials are in sound condition. Contractor may utilize the existing materials if they feel they are in sound condition. The City is requesting prices for the following: o Repairing the walkway to a sound and usable condition. o Reconstruct the entire wood walkway surface and railing.
