Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only and in order to be considered an official bidder contractors must obtain plans and specifications from Goodwyn Mills & Cawood Inc. The work to be constructed at the Choctaw County Regional Landfill includes, but is not limited to, the following: Construction of Cell #3 including excavation & grading, installation of a clay liner, GCL liner, HDPE liner & sand drainage layer, installation of a leachate collection system and some minor drainage work. All Bids must be on blank forms provided in the Specifications and submitted in its entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bidder's bond, payable to Southwest Alabama Solid Waste Disposal Authority, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), shall be filed with the Bid. The Bidder's bond shall be prepared on the form specified and signed by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. A performance bond in the form and terms approved by the SASWDA in an amount not less than the contract price will be required at the signing of the Agreement. A labor and materials bond in the form and terms approved by the SASWDA in an amount not less than the Contract Price insuring payment for all labor and materials shall also be required at the signing of the Agreement. In addition, the Contractor must furnish to the SASWDA at the time of the signing of the Agreement a certificate of insurance coverage as provided in the Contract Documents. The SASWDA reserves the right to reject any and/or all Bids and to waive informalities and to furnish any item of material or work to change the amount of the Contract Price. Liquidated damages for non-completion of the Work within the Contract Times will be assessed in accordance with the terms of the Contract. If the Contract is to be awarded, the SASWDA will award the Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the consent of the SASWDA. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
