Site work for a road / highway in Midland, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

If the Contract is awarded, it will be awarded to either the lowest responsible bidder, or to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for the City of Midland. In determining the best value for the City of Midland, the City of Midland may consider the criteria enumerated in Section 252.043 of the Texas Local Government Code. The project includes a mix of removal, new placement, and maintenance replacement of various thermoplastic pavement markings on streets throughout the City of Midland. Bids will be received on a unit price basis and the contract will be awarded for the total bid amount for all items. Bidders are advised that quantities of individual items may be adjusted as needed to meet the needs of the City, subject to all applicable procurement rules and regulations. The City reserves the right to abandon, without obligation to the Contractor, any task, or the entire project, at any time before the Contractor begins work authorized by the City. No minimum amount of work is guaranteed. The initial term of the contact shall be from the date of award until September 30, 2022. If the City and Contractor agree in writing, the contract may be renewed for up to two (2) additional one-year terms (October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023; and October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024). The Traffic Operations Division will assign individual tasks for work to be performed under this contract and will coordinate with the Contractor to determine an acceptable schedule for completion of proposed tasks. The City's intent is to group tasks so that a sufficient quantity of work is assigned at one time to allow for costeffective mobilization of the crew and equipment. With the assignment of each work task, the City shall provide maps, plans, details, lists, schematics, and/or other documents as necessary for the Contractor to fully understand the proposed scope of the task. All equipment, materials, installation, and testing for all items shall be per the Texas Department of Transportation publication Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance of Highways, Streets and Bridges (Nov. 2014) unless otherwise noted or approved by the City or modified by these Special Provisions.
