Renovation of a municipal facility in Centreville, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

INTERIOR: In order to repurpose the building and preserve it for decades to come, qualified consultants will be engaged to program the preservation/restoration of this iconic building while effectively readapting its use; $200,000 is requested in FY22 and $300,000 in FY23 for this purpose. Systems which require significant renovation and/or replacement in subsequent fiscal years/phases include +50 year-old HVAC system, electrical & communication systems, interior finishes and security system. Presently, it is envisioned that FY22 will complete the exterior preservation, FY23 - 1st floor renovation/2nd floor preservation and mechanical improvements, and FY24 - basement renovation. The project is included in the county's 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of August 10, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
