The Work comprises the of all materials, labor, tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, transportation, incidentals necessary to furnish, all implied requirements, and all appurtenant work as required to remove existing 235' of chain link fence, installation of a new 10' x 235' CMU wall, landscape improvements, re-routing of existing underground 4" reclaimed water line, installation of restrain joints and thrust blocks, installation of trench drain, re-grading of landscape including the addition of a retention basin, adjustments to remaining chain link fencing as it relates to new block wall along the south end of the Demuth Park pickle ball courts, and all other work as described on the plans and specifications. The City reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, on the basis of the total sum of the Base Bid Schedule, and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of the City. If there are multiple and/or alternative Bid Schedules, Bidders are required to complete and submit a bid on all Bid Schedules and complete the Basis of Award. Bid Security each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price payable to the City of Palm Springs. As a condition of award, the successful bidder will be required to submit payment and performance bonds and insurance. Questions submitted after 3:00pm on December 7, 2021, will not be accepted. The Engineer's estimate is $250,000 to $300,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The work shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before the expiration of: 90 working days. As a condition of the Citys acceptance of the Work, the Performance Bond shall be replaced with a Warranty Bond in the amount of 25 percent of the final Contract Price
