Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Fontana, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
All requests for information/clarifications must be submitted, in writing, to Tracie Reading, Buyer, via email at readtd@fusd.net and received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021. Please direct all correspondence with the subject line, "Bid No. 21/22-1569r Asphalt Repairs". No other questions or requests for information will be accepted after this date and time. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and be licensed to perform the work called for in the contract documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class A or C12 license at time of bid and license must be valid throughout contract period. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the Bid Form. Each bidder shall submit with his bid, on the form furnished with the contract documents, a list of the designated subcontractors on this project as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act, California Public Contract Code Sections 4100 et. seq. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the work called for in the contract documents and license must be valid through project completion. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the contract documents as defined in the General Conditions. Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the DISTRICT; (3) a certified check made payable to the DISTRICT; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, made payable to the DISTRICT in the form set forth in the contract documents. Such bidder's security must be in the amount of $5,000.00 as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds and insurance certificates. In the event of failure to enter into said contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the DISTRICT prior to execution of the contract and shall be in the form set forth in the contract documents. All bonds (Bid, Performance, and Payment) must be issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Estimated Contract Value: $2,000,000.00 The District requires grinding and capping, resealing, striping, re-striping, removing and replacing existing asphalt in parking lots, playgrounds and basketball courts, filling cracks and installing new asphalt at various sites throughout the District. The District does not guarantee a minimum volume of work; however, the cumulative value of work will be approximately Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) and will be dependent on budgetary allocations and District needs. It is anticipated that under the term of this contract the District will remove and replace 325,000 sq ft and reseal and stripe 185,000 sq ft of asphalt.
