The City of Brighton (City) is seeking professional services for the design/build of an interconnection with South Adams County Water and Sanitation District (SACWSD). The City is looking to obtain water from SACWSD. This water will be provided to the City through the SACWSD distribution system. The additional water will increase the available water for our residents. The City is looking for a design/build team that can design and construct the water line as well as all associated infrastructure. This would require coordination between the City and SACWSD to connect with the existing 12" SACWSD water main located at E. 112th Ave. & Peoria St; approximately 5,400 LF of pipeline will need to be installed from 112th Ave. to 120th Ave. on Peoria St. to tie into the City's existing 24" PVC transmission main at the intersection. See attached map, Exhibit "A," for Interconnect placement. Items to be considered in design and construction scope shall include, but are not limited to: Vault at connection point to house backflow, meter, flow regulator, chlorine injection, booster pump Approximately 5,400LF of 12" pipe Disconnect and abandon existing service lines off SACWSD main and transfer services to new City main Installation of all valves, restraints, hydrants, etc. per City Standards and Specifications Mobilization, reclamation and restoration, traffic control, and material testing and reporting are to be considered inherent items to the work.
