A detailed scope has not yet been released. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Green Street (State St. To Bono Rd.) and Galt Street (Dewey St. To Market St.) Sidewalk Improvement Project The New Albany Redevelopment Commission desires to procure the services of a professional engineering consultant(s), minimally including an engineer registered to practice in the State of Indiana, to complete the following: Design sidewalk, curb replacement including any required ADA ramps on Green St. from State St. to Bono Rd. and Galt St. from Dewey St. to Market St. Produce construction plans and specifications, cost estimates and other services to bid, review and critique bids received. Periodic construction monitoring and inspection including review of payment requests, site visits to make visual inspection/verification of work being invoiced, compliance with plans/specifications, quality of construction, adherence to schedule and troubleshooting as needed. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project includes the reconstruction of sidewalks, driveways, curb ramps, replacement curb, as needed and any needed tree removals and replacement of trees and other work to improve walkability. TYPE OF CONTRACT: The New Albany Redevelopment Commission will execute a Professional Services contract for Design, Construction Inspection and Troubleshooting for the Green St. (State St. to Bono Rd.) and Galt St. (Dewey St. to Market St.) Sidewalk Improvement Project. Said contract may be revised by majority vote of the Commission. The Proposal shall include identification of key personnel, a manpower justification and an estimated cost-not-to-exceed for the Services. Construction monitoring and inspection should be based on an average of 8 hours/week for a construction inspector and 2 hours/week for the project engineer. Proposals should identify the office-location for key personnel. REQUIRED SUBMITTALS: Each prospective consultant shall submit five original Proposals and one unbound proposal (6 total) with the costs to provide the requested services as described above. Proposals shall be reviewed and evaluated for qualifications, past experience, completeness, clarity, locality, and price. A Professional Services Contract is tentatively scheduled to be awarded at the December 14, 2021, Commission meeting at 2:30 p.m. It will be announced at a later date if the meeting will be held via Zoom or in person at City Hall. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to waive any informalities or minor defects in the proposal process. The City of New Albany is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
