The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is accepting bids for Replacing High Pressure Sodium Luminaires with LED Luminaires Billings Area. Be sure to certify and submit your bid response once completed. WORK IS REQUIRED TO BE COMPLETED ON OR BEFORE: OCTOBER 15, 2023 Provide LED luminaires with aluminum housing and universal 4-bolt slip fitter mount. Provide luminaires utilizing discrete component LEDS - chip-on-board (COB) LEDs will not be accepted. Provide luminaires with standard roadway type 2 distribution. Provide luminaires with options for house-side and light trespass shields, but do not supply any shields. Provide luminaires that have an uplight rating of U1 or less. Provide luminaires with an LED optical assembly that has an ingress protection rating of IP66. Use a correlated color temperature (CCT) of 4000 K and a minimum color rendering index (CRI) of 70. Use LEDs that are mercury and lead free. Use LEDs rated to produce a minimum of 90% intensity at 100,000 hours of life based on IES TM-21 (L90). Provide a power supply with a minimum power factor of .90 and a maximum total harmonic distortion (THD) of 20% or less. Provide surge protection with a minimum of ANSI/IEEE C62.41 category C protection. Provide luminaires that allow access to electrical components without the use of tools. Provide luminaires that are UL listed for use in wet locations. Provide luminaires with input voltage configurable between 120- and 277-volts AC. Install the luminaires configured for the existing lighting circuit voltage. Provide LED luminaires with a minimum 10-year manufacturers' warranty for the entire luminaire assembly including material, workmanship, photometrics, power supply and LED modules. Replacement luminaires must be provided to MDT for any luminaire failure within the warranty period. Supply LED luminaires that are Energy Star or Design Lights Consortium (DLC) qualified. For Luminaires of 250 watt or less, install LED luminaires producing at least 17,000 lumens. For existing luminaires of 400 watts or more, install LED luminaires producing at least 26,000 lumens. Install each LED luminaire with the same housing color as the fixture being replaced. Contractor will complete a written work plan to be approved by the Maintenance Chief before any work may begin. Storage and handling of all new LED Luminaires shall be the responsibility of the Contractor until final acceptance of the installation. Contractor shall be responsible for all private property damage claims resulting from performance of the tasks described above. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
