Reference number : 1542499 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2021-11-22 Electronic submission accepted: Non The City of Sherbrooke is requesting bids for electrical and mechanical building upgrades for the Hertel sewer pumping station. The work of this project consists of the complete replacement of the ventilation equipment and the main electrical distribution of the Hertel pumping station in Sherbrooke. This position has been in operation since 1976, the main electrical distribution equipment has reached its useful life and must be replaced. Among this equipment, the main distribution panel, the motor control center and the soft starters are to be replaced. As this nerve center must be kept functional during the work, a large temporary power system must be installed and operated during the work. Finally, the project also includes certain building mechanics work for the replacement of fans and certain ventilation controls . More specifically, the modification works provide for the following interventions for each of the disciplines: Building mechanics - Ventilation work: Carry out the demolition of the existing ventilation systems. Provide for the supply of new air supply, air distribution and exhaust equipment and achieve thermal insulation. Carry out the balancing and commissioning of the equipment. Electricity - Temporary work Take the steps with Hydro-Sherbrooke for the connection request for the required temporary installation, including all the resulting steps necessary to carry out the work. Supply, install and connect all temporary equipment according to the installation details in the plans and phasing of the proposed work. The contractor can propose alternatives according to the site conditions in order to minimize the interruptions of services. Coordinate and plan all required service interruptions with the City of Sherbrooke (day, night and / or weekend, as the case may be). Carry out the tests and start-up. Ensure the proper functioning of temporary equipment on the regular and emergency network for the entire duration of the work. Check the operation in coordination with the operator and the programmer of the pumping station (Ville de Sherbrooke). The temporary service must be able to maintain the building services while allowing the continuity of alternating service of two of the four 250 HP pumps of the pumping station. If necessary, provide for the dismantling and patching of an existing portion of the wall to allow the passage of equipment according to the indications on the plans. At the end of the work, remove the temporary equipment and repair the openings made for the passage of cables. Restore the premises as before the work was carried out. Power, distribution and control electricity - Installation of new equipment: Carry out the work declaration with Hydro-Sherbrooke for the connection request for the new installation, including all the resulting steps necessary to carry out the work. Carry out equipment lockout and dismantling work in coordination with the pre-established temporary work sequence. Supply, install and connect all the electrical equipment specified in the plans for the completion of the works and the updating of the existing electrical distribution. Supply and install a network of horizontal cable trays and / or a network of conduits according to the indications on the plans to connect the various distribution panels, the new distribution station, the motor control center, the PLC control panel and the equipment. Provide all the required wiring between these equipments. Make the connections at each end. Identify all the cables installed and list the starting point and the end point of the cable. Update the identification in the City documents at the end of the work. Coordinate the work with the various trades, the manufacturer and the City for the physical installation of the equipment and the proper functioning of the systems. Carry out inspections, tests and start-up of all systems on the regular and emergency network. Submit the results of the tests in the end-of-work documents. Carry out and hand in the short-circuit, protection coordination and electric arc study. Submit all end-of-work documents including the as-built plans.
