contract for 06A-1 General Trades, 23A-1 HVAC and 26A-1 Electrical for McHenry East Community High School Secured Entrances - Bid Release 1. All Contractors shall use the bid day label provided with their Bid Form. The proposed project involves interior renovations, including but not limited to: minor demolition, masonry & steel, metal studs & drywall, flooring, new check-in area, modifications to doors, and a wheelchair lift. Prospective bidders should contact Kari Christensen at Lamp Incorporated (kchristensen@lampinc.net or 847-741-7220) to be placed on the bid list. Bidders will then be granted access to SmartBid to download drawings for free. Lamp Incorporated will be utilizing SmartBid for the entire bidding process, including addenda, so all interested bidders must contact Lamp Incorporated to access the SmartBid Website. All Contractors wishing to bid on this project must have a Lamp Incorporated Qualification Statement on file, updated within the last year. Contractors' qualification statements are due in Lamp Incorporated's office by 5:00 pm, Monday, November 29, 2021. Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: CITY OF BLACKWELL 13TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION/OVERLAY AND DOWNTOWN STREET PROJECTS The Owner will retain the deposit, and for liquidated damages in case the successful bidder fails to enter in said contract and furnish the required bonds provided for the specifications within the time required. Deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon the execution of the Contract and required bonds. Prior to the awarding of the Contract, the CITY OF BLACKWELL may defer its decision for a period not to exceed (60) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, pnor to awarding of the Contract. The Notice to Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans and Specifications, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance, Maintenance and Statutory Payment Bonds, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following: 1. Blackwell City Hall 221 West Blackwell Blackwell, Oklahoma, 74631 Each bidder shall accompany his bid with a sworn statement in writing that the Bidder has not directly or indirectly entered into an agreement, expressed or implied, with any other bidder concerning the price or amount of such bid or any bids, the limitmg of the bids or bidders, the paying to anyone any money for promotion expenses, the parceling or farming out to any bidder or bidders or other persons of any part of the contract or any part of the subject matter of the bid or of the profits thereof. The Maintenance Bond required will guarantee the repair of all damage due to improper materials or workmanship for a period of two (2) years after the acceptance of the work by the Owner. Contract to be awarded to the lowest and best responsive responsible bidder or as otherwise permitted by state law. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with the Oklahoma Competitive Bidding Act. Do not include state or local sales tax in your bid. The successful bidder will be appointed the City's agent for purposes of sales tax exemption. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this project. McHenry Community High School District 156 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any bid irregularities. This Project is Tax Exempt. Bidders failing to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the project and the existing conditions at the scope review may be rejected. It is the desire and intention of the Owner to award the contract for construction during the next City Meeting on December 16, 2021 at 6:00 p.m
