Work under this contract includes the resurfacing of approximately 159,000 square yards of bituminous concrete roadway at various locations in the Town of Manchester. It includes other appurtenant work such as the resetting of catch basin tops and manhole frames; extruded concrete curb; driveway aprons; and traffic control. This contract has no separate plan set. The scope of work is as defined in these Specifications. See "Notice to Contractor - Order and Scope of Work" and Appendix "E" and "F" for locations and scope of work. It is expected that prospective bidders visit each road prior to the bid opening to review existing field conditions. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, payable to the Town of Manchester, is required in the sum of 5 percent (5%) of the total bid. Bid security shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the Standard Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids, should it be deemed to be in the public interest to do so, and to reserve any and/or all other rights as detailed in the Contract Documents.
