Guardrails Project The estimated project value is $380,000. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. Bidders proposing to bid on any work to be awarded by a municipality under the provisions of Section 34 of Chapter 90 must be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, "Prequalification of Contractors." Contractors intending to bid on this project must appear on an official Contractor bid list from the Prequalification Office or be on a list of Contractors that have been granted a waiver by the Prequalification Committee. Every bid for such contract shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the awarding authority. The amount of the bid guaranty is 5% of the bid. This project is subject to the schedule of prevailing wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Division of Occupational Safety. The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Payment and Performance Bonds.
