For the Street Department Sheds purpose of furnishing labor, materials and equipment and the performance of all work required in the construction of a Metal Building as well as the insulation and heating of a pre-existing two bay enclosure. The project consists of constructing a metal building as well as insulating and heating a two bay enclosure on a pre-existing building at the Street Department located at 400 E. Madison. The new building will be approximately 50-ft deep x 130-ft wide x16-ft tall front opening. Sheeting will need to be provided on the roof and two sides of the building; the front will be left open. One (1) row of LED lighting in the center of the proposed bays (approximately 12 LED lights) will also be needed.
The project will also include the following:
1. Electrical system for the lighting of the new bay and wall plugs every 20 ft. along the back wall.
2. Engineered drawings sealed by a PE licensed in the state of Texas.
3. Front and back gutters and downspouts for the building.
4. No demo. Site will be cleared by others.
5. On the pre-existing building there will be a 40-ft wide x 45-ft deep x 16 feet high bay that will require a natural gas heater and open cell spray foam to be installed by the contractor.
6. Permits will be needed but fees will be waived. The price will be for the metal building materials, equipment, and labor for the scope described above complete and in place. Questions shall be submitted to publicworks@waxahachie.com and shall be accepted until December 1, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. The City reserves the right, as the interest of the City may require, to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any informality in proposals received. No officer or employee of the City of Waxahachie shall have a financial interest, direct or indirect, in any contract with the City of Waxahachie.
