Remodeling of a fire / police facility in Weatherford, Texas. Working plans call for the remodel of a 9,900-square-foot fire / police facility.

Please reach out to City of Weatherford for rebid information. ** The project consists of the following: design-build services for the remodel of the 9,900 SF Fire Station 1. The fire station remodel includes but is not limited to demolition and remodel of existing living quarters, dorms, offices, watch rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, training room, lobby, triage room, storage area, day room, positive pressure air lock between bay and living quarters, parking area, HVAC system, exhaust removal system in bay, adding a man door in bay, plumbing, and keycard secure entries. Selection of the successful firm shall be in accordance with the criteria outlined in the full RFQ packet. This RFQ is for qualifications from Respondents that are able to provide all components of a "design-build" project, either on their own or as part of a respondent team. The separate elements (design and construction) of the Project are not to be submitted separately. Only Respondents (or Respondent Teams) having the ability to comply with all the requirements of the RFQ, and the Design Criteria Package, and also provide all component parts of the Project (design and build) should respond. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all responses or to accept and response deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in response. All responses received after the closing time above designated will be returned unopened. The fire station remodel will take place at the existing Weatherford Fire Department Station 1 location of 122 South Alamo Street, Weatherford, TX. 76086. The existing approximately 9,900 SF, three-bay station was built in 1984 as part of the City of Weatherford Municipal Complex. It is a single-story red-brown brick building designed in the post-modernist style with a flat roof. The station sits on the southeast quadrant of the complex, on an approximately 0.6-acre site with South Alamo Street on the east side and Oak Street on the south. The surrounding topography is on steep downward slope towards the west side with 10 -15-foottall retaining walls. There is no dedicated parking for the fire station. There is no easily identifiable front door or visitor entry. A. Successful respondent shall provide all design and construction services for a remodel of a roughly 9,900 +/- SF of the existing fire station. The project consists of all engineering, architectural plans, and construction associated with the Fire Station 1 Remodel. B. Design for the Fire Station 1 Remodel shall include MEP Engineering and all Architectural and structural plans for the remodel of existing living quarters, dorms, offices, watch rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, training room, lobby, triage room, storage area, day room, positive pressure air lock between bay and living quarters, parking area, HVAC system, exhaust removal system in bay, adding a man door in bay, plumbing, and keycard secure entries.in existing fire station. Building and site designs shall conform to current building and fire code requirements of the City of Weatherford and Parker County.
