Renovation of a municipal facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work includes demolition and replacement of the exterior windows on Buildings C and S and the demolition of a set of stairs outside the breezeway that connects Buildings C and N. A portion of the windows included in the work on Building C will be designated as an alternate bid. Due to the age and material content of the existing windows the demolition of them will involve abatement of material. New windows shall be storefront framing with insulated glazing to match type and style recently installed in adjacent Building N. Estimated Length of Project: 90 (Substantial Completion) + 15 (Final Completion) All procurement questions shall be directed to buyer of record for this project. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served.
