School District Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids, either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein, or to award the contract to other than the Bidder(s) submitting the best financial Bid (low Bidder), in its sole and absolute discretion. DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION WORK- 1. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing will disconnect, cut, cap and make safe prior to demolition. 2. Verify ductwork is decommissioned prior to performing demolition work. 3. Demolition for items to be turned over to owner. 4. Review all demolition, architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical drawings and include enough manpower to complete all demolition per the schedule. Report any inconsistencies immediately to Clark Construction. 5. All demolition required as shown to facilitate new work. 6. Responsible for all saw cutting as shown on the demolition drawings including mechanical and electrical demolition drawings. 7. Remove mastic off floors where required for new floor finish. 8. Protect all existing equipment, surfaces, etc. from damage and dust - Concrete (CIP and Concrete Paving)- 1. Exterior (site) concrete (e.g. flatwork, curb and gutter, etc.). 2. Verify existing grade prior to performing the Work. Report discrepancies to Clark Construction Company in writing. 3. Maintain streets and public areas free of dirt, mud and debris. Daily or more frequent road sweeping as required when debris is tracked onto roads. 4. Pumping water to accomplish the Work of this bid category. 5. Weather protection to meet the project schedule. 6. Coordinate special slab requirements (e.g. depressed slab at pavers, etc.) with other Trades. 7. Proof rolling of sub-grade as required prior to placement of granular base. 8. Fine grade and compaction of subbase -Masonry- 1. Receive, unload, store, layout and install metal fabrications to be imbedded in masonry walls. Coordinate location with other Trades. 2. Miscellaneous clips, angles, etc., to attach the Work of this bid category to the Work of others. 3. Install loose lintels furnished by others. 4. Coordinate dowel location requirements with other Trades. 5. Clean footings of dirt and/or mud prior to performing the Work. 6. Reinforcing and other accessories (e.g. ties, anchors, drainage weeps, etc.). 7. Coordinate location of masonry weeps with the Work of other Trades. 8. Flashings including thru-wall and counterflashing, reglets and other accessories for a complete installation. Do not cover flashings prior to inspection by Clark Construction Company -Structural Steel- 1. Furnish required shop drawings in a timely manner to allow for adequate review time by Clark Construction Company and the Architect to meet requirements of 2. the project schedule. Anchor bolt plans and embed setting plans shall be submitted as not to delay the project schedule and not later than three weeks following award of Contract or Notice to Proceed. 3. Coordinate with the Mechanical Contractor and other Trades requiring openings and support framing in the structural steel for the HVAC units and other material and equipment. 4. Review steel erection tolerance requirements (e.g. plumb-ness, alignment, etc.) of materials and Work of other Trades impacted by the Work of this bid category. Perform the Work to the most stringent tolerance standard; the Work of this bid category or requirements of Trades impacted by the Work of this bid category.
