Window Rehabilitation Project at Spanish Springs High School All roof-mounted equipment or penetrations associated with this project are to be flashed by a licensed roofing Contractor. The roofing Contractor shall have experience with the existing roofing membrane. New flashing materials shall be installed to comply with the membrane manufacturer's specifications or details published by the National Roofing Contractors Association Waterproofing Manual. In acceptance of the work, the Owner will make no allowance for lack of skill on the part of the Contractor. The Contractor shall coordinate all aspects of roof work including any penetrations to maintain the building in a totally watertight condition, no exceptions The project shall consist of all on and off-site improvements, as shown in the contract document PWP # WA-2022-090 1. Where indicated, replace frames in their entirety. a. Remove existing hollow metal window frame. b. Remove & salvage operable units for re-use in new frames. c. Caulk perimeter of each glazing lite. d. Paint exterior of all existing frames. Color to be selected by architect. e. Repair, texture & repaint interior gypsum board damaged as part of frame removal. f. Paint interior surface of new frame. Color to be selected by architect. 2. Where indicated, replace failed lites in existing frames to remain. a. Install new glazing stops per details. b. Caulk perimeter of new glazing lite. c. Paint new stop. Color to be selected by architect. 3. Existing frames to remain: a. Remove & replace perimeter caulking. b. Caulk perimeter of each glazing lite. Remove & replace existing caulking where occurs. c. Prep & repaint exterior of all existing frames. Color to be selected by architect.
