Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Annapolis, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Repair Pedestrian Foot Bridge The work to be accomplished under this contract is located at the Annapolis District Court, also herein referred to as The Robert F. Sweeney District Court Building, located at 251 Rowe Blvd, Annapolis, MD 21401. The successful contractor is to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, means and methods as required for the removal and replacement of the concrete stairs attached to the south-west end of the pedestrian footbridge, shown in the images contained here within. All work, in this turnkey project, is to be performed in accordance with the documents, drawings, specifications, and references contained in this scope of work. 1. At the location specified, remove and dispose of the existing concrete stairs on metal decking system. Existing stair-rail is to be removed and kept for reinstalment. 2. Inspect all components of the existing footbridge, columns and stairs for soundness and compatibility, to include but not limited to, support post(s), seat bearings, slide bearings, shims, anchor bolts, base plates, girders, beams, angles, connections, embeds, etc. Remove and replace all components that are not structurally sound. Remove and replace all components that are not compatible with the new stair assembly. 3. Remove rust from all components that are found to be structurally sound and are compatible with the new stair assembly to be installed. 4. Install a new and complete stair system in place, and in kind, of the removed concrete stairs. The concrete installed shall possess a compression strength in accordance with the 2018 International Building Code (IBC) chapter 19 and American Concrete Institute (ACI) section 318 requirements for exterior concrete on metal deck stairs or 3500 PSI, whichever is greater. The concrete tensile strength (PSI) shall also meet or exceed the minimum requirement of the 2018 (IBC) and (ACI) 318 or 15% of the compression strength, whichever is higher. The deadline for questions has been established as Monday, November 29, at 12:00 PM, to assure that there is enough time to allow the A/E to provide responses and Addendum issuance if necessary. Bid Bond in the amount of 5% Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% Q&A date oct 29, 2021 at 12:00 pm The work shall be completed within 120 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquated damages of $250.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions".
