Renovation of an educational facility in Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The State University Construction Fund is seeking statements of qualifications from firms to provide Construction Management Services for 151071-01, Fire Suppression - UH (02) & UUH at CG (30) State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. This project is to modify and extend the fire sprinkler coverage throughout the Hospital building(s), so that all areas are fully covered. As a result, this project will provide sufficient service capacity, distribution and risers throughout. Subsequent renovation projects will be necessary to extend distribution and to install sprinkler heads in specific areas. As new sprinkler zones are created, zone flow indication and zone valve tamper switches will be tied into the existing Fire Alarm system(s). This project will also include ceiling and lighting replacement along with abatement of hazardous materials. To achieve the substantial completion date contemplated, multiple bid packages are currently being considered based on the following phasing for each hospital: Community General Hospital: Phase 1 - 4 University Hospital: Phase 1 - 7 Submissions should emphasize the firm's significant past experience in providing construction phase CM services for public institutions and institutional clients in a complete and expeditious manner.
