Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cary, North Carolina. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of August 29, 2024, this project is in the design phase. Construction is not anticipated to happen until 2026. The design services outlined for this RFQ are intended to be authorized as one single project. While the PER was scoped for phased improvements, it became clear that constructing the project as a single project with phased construction will be beneficial to the Town. Construction administration/construction observation (CA/CO) services will be required. The project will include two (2) primary tasks. Proposers shall confirm their ability to provide the scope of services for each task. The tasks are described below: 1. Detailed Design: Selected consultants shall utilize the recommendations from the Walnut Creek Pump Station Preliminary Engineering Report, Kimley-Horn (2023). Design shall minimize impacts to the 100-year floodplain and floodway for Walnut Creek. A recommended construction sequence that minimizes bypass at the station is required. 2. CA/CO: Selected consultants shall provide full-time construction inspection services and construction contract administration services for the duration of the construction phase of project.
