Two-year countywide contract for rehabilitation of sanitary sewers by the cured-in-place pipe lining method for wellfield protection areas The Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for rehabilitating defects in 8 through 36-inch diameter gravity sanitary sewer pipes and 6-inch diameter service laterals by the cured-in-place pipe lining method, at various and different locations anywhere within the limits of Miami-Dade County, Florida, as ordered by the Department during the Contract period. The Department is currently responsible for maintaining the gravity sanitary sewers in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is the intention of the Department to establish a non-exclusive "blanket" type contract to clean and cure-in-place line gravity sanitary sewer pipelines. Work also includes cured-in-place lining of sewer laterals ordered by the Engineer, bypass pumping of sewage or plugging and monitoring, if needed, and other appurtenant and miscellaneous related items and work for a completed Project. The terms "work", "lining", "construction", "repair" and "cleaning" shall each be construed to denote any and all activities under this contract, regardless of its nature. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The bid security can be in the attached Prescribed Bid Bond form, which shall be executed by the Bidder and a qualified Surety, satisfactory and payable to the Miami-Dade County, Florida, Board of County Commissioners. The bid security can also be in the form of a certified check or cashier's check on a solvent national or state bank. The successful contractor must execute a one hundred (100%) Surety Performance and Payment Bonds. The construction estimate (consisting of biddable items) for this project is $7,057,660.00.
