Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Atlanta, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a day care center; for the construction of a 240,000-square-foot day care center; for site work for a day care center; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of December 9, 2022, per owner, this project was cancelled and is not likely to solicit at all. The Savannah District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is requesting information regarding the market capabilities of potential contractors that can replace the current campus at 239 West Lake Avenue, NW, Atlanta, Georgia. This request does not obligate the Government in any way to post a Request for Proposal or award a contract. Information received will be considered for the purpose of market research and determining how to best move forward with the procurement. Applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 Million. This is not a solicitation. This posting is a Sources Sought Notice only. The Atlanta Job Corps Center is intended to replace the current campus at 239 West Lake Avenue, NW, Atlanta, GA. The Atlanta Job Corps Center will be comprised of eleven (11) buildings totaling approximately 240,000 gross square feet, meeting the requirements to form a completely self-sufficient campus. The subject project has had progress stopped since December 2019, with infrastructure remaining in various stages of completion from underground utilities installed to mechanical/electrical rough-ins. An updated scope includes completion of all required work, including clearing, grading and preparation of the existing site plus rework associated with the existing partially completed buildings and completion of the entire campus facilities. Final construction of utilities required to serve the buildings need to include coordination with various utilities to serve the buildings. Construction of the surface site work includes installation of all fencing, gates, roads, walks, landscaping, and grassed area. Scope also involves significant underground utility demolition (hydronic piping and electrical) and construction of storm water management ponds and bio retention areas. In accordance with DFARS 236.204, the potential magnitude for this requirement is estimated between $25 Million to $100 Million dollars. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
