Site work for a water / sewer project in Tuskegee Institute, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Per Jane Sanders "There were no bidders on this project. Submittals for quotes were accepted one week later, and UBT expects to submit the selection to the Board on March 14, 2022, for approval" Per addenda 2 bid date changed from 1/25/22 to 2/1/22, time did not change. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Utilities Board of the City of Tuskegee, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The work to be performed will generally consist of the following: Sanitary sewer collection line repair, and manhole repair/replacement/rehabilitation at multiple locations in Tuskegee's wastewater collection system subbasin 3. Alternates for sewer main inspection and repair/replacement/rehabilitation are included. The Contractor is advised that the contract time of this project is 150 calendar days in time and is being administered through the South Central Alabama Development Commission located at 5900 Carmichael Place, Montgomery, AL 36117, 334-244-6903 by Ashton Estes and/or Evan Crews with funding through the Appalachian Regional Commission. A certificate of compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, Act 2011-535, as amended by ACT 2012-491, is required by all contractors. All bidders are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). Attendance at the Pre-Construction conference is a non-mandatory requirement for this project. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The contractor shall possess the specialty licenses MU. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
