The St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission is currently soliciting for bids on replacement of the Secondary Clarifier No. 1 at the Marlay-Taylor Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). A Pre-Bid teleconference will be held on the date and time shown below. Instructions on how to participate in the teleconference to answer any questions concerning the Bid Documents are provided in the attachments section contained herein. A site visit will be permitted for the potential bidders and held on the date and time shown below. All potential bidders are encouraged to attend the site visit; however, visitors will be required to follow all Governors Orders and guidelines regarding social distancing. This will be the only opportunity for a site visit, unless otherwise warranted by the Project Manager. The Work includes demolition of the existing clarifier tankage and return activated sludge (RAS) pump well, construction of a new, deeper tank with pile foundation, modifications to the clarifier mechanism and re-installation into the new tankage, installation of RAS pumps into the new RAS pump well, new scum well, piping modifications, electrical and instrumentation and control upgrades and all associated site work for a complete and operational system. The work is primarily located at the Marlay Taylor WRF. The Contractor shall accomplish all Work, including such additional, extra and incidental Work that may be considered necessary by the Owner to complete the Project, as defined herein, in a satisfactory and acceptable manner, and shall furnish all plant equipment, tools, materials, labor and incidentals necessary to carry on the Project to satisfactory completion within the time period specified and in strict accordance with the Drawings, Specifications/Contract Documents and Addenda, referenced herein and incorporated by reference, (the "Contract Documents") and the latest revision of the St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission Design Manual, Technical Specifications, and Standards for Construction Details.
