A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Project Description The project includes the construction of a flow-through system splash pad facility to include handicapped accessible equipment and renovations as needed for handicapped accessibility at a restroom facility to serve the splash pad area. The project will be constructed in the Citronelle Memorial Playground Park. Scope of Services Required The following services will be required of an engineering consultant: Preparation of final plans and specifications including all survey work necessary to prepare final plans and specifications; Coordinate, review and approval of plans and specifications, contracts, change orders, permits/concurrences, bid tabulations/engineer recommendations, notice to proceed, change orders, and final inspection; Preparation of the bid package and bid advertisement; Supervision of the bid process; and Supervision and inspection of the construction process from the Pre-Construction Conference through Final Inspection. Anticipated Start and Completion Date Engineering services need to start immediately upon entering into the contract with the City of Citronelle. The City of Citronelle is interested in implementing the project in a timely manner that will allow the City of Citronelle to open the splash pad facility for the 2022 summer season. Type of Contract The contract between the Engineer and the City of Citronelle will be a flat fixed-fee contract to be negotiated between the firm selected and the City of Citronelle Final selection is expected to be made by the City Council of Citronelle at the regularly scheduled meeting of November 23, 2021. The project will be funded with American Rescue Plan Act Program for a total project cost of $125,000. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
