The City of Sugar Land requests contractor services for traffic sign replacements in the Greatwood and New Territory areas as described in this scope. The contractor must comply with the City of Sugar Land's Engineering Design Standards and Traffic Sign Assembly specifications when removing and installing traffic sign and support assemblies within city rights-of-way (ROW). If a traffic sign type is not listed in the city standards and specifications, then the sign must be fabricated according to the current version of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD) and the Texas Standard Highway Sign Design (SHSD) manual requirements. The contractor must also comply with TMUTCD requirements when placing traffic sign assemblies within city rights-of-way. TO PROVIDE FOR: the annual contract commencing on the latest date executed by both parties and continuing until September 30, 2022. The term of this Contract shall automatically renew without further documentation or agreement annually for one (1) additional one-year terms under the terms and conditions provided herein, unless written notice The Bidders must submit an Original Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and the Surety with their Bids in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the Bid, inclusive of any Bid alternates, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Performance and Payment Bonds as required after the Contract is approved by the City's City Council. Performance Bond: A performance bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the total for the awarded section(s) will be required. Payment Bond: A payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the total for the awarded section(s) will be required Questions Deadline: December 2, 2021 @ 3:00 pm Questions regarding this bid must be received by the City of Sugar Land's Purchasing Office no later than 3:00 P.M., Thursday, December 2, 2021. Questions will not be accepted after this time. Contact with any personnel of the City other than Jason Poscovsky, regarding this request for bid may be ground for elimination from the selection process.
