Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Montclair, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

**As of February 7 , 2022, The project has not been awarded yet. A timeline for award has not been established yet. All of said work is to be performed in accordance with Plans and Specifications entitled MODULAR RESTROOM FACILITY AT MONTCLAIR TRANSCENTER PROJECT. The entire work is contained in the bid schedule(s) as shown in Section C - PROPOSAL. The work is generally described as follows and includes all other appurtenance work required by the plans and specifications: This work generally includes the construction of foundation pad for modular restroom facility, sewer, water and electrical services, traffic control and setting the modular restroom in place including, transporting the modular building from storage facility to construction site, installation of the modular restroom roof. Work also includes all items of work not specifically mentioned here but required by the plans, Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work shall be completed within Thirty (30) working days after the date of the Notice to Proceed is issued by the City. Questions pertaining to this project shall be directed to Steve Stanton, Engineering Division Manager at (909) 625-9444. No proposal will be considered from a Contractor who is not licensed as a Class A contractor, at time of bid, or if the proposal has not been made through the Citys Purchasing website. Prior to being awarded the contract, the contractor who is the apparent low bidder shall furnish verification of a current California contractor's license number to the City Engineer within two (2) working days after receiving a request for this information. WAGE RATES: Bids shall be made in accordance with the prevailing hourly rate of per diem wages for this locality and project as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1770 et seq., a copy of which is on file with the City Engineer at 5111 Benito Street in accordance with the provisions of Labor Code Section 1773.2 which prevailing hourly rates of wages is made a part of this notice by reference as though fully set forth herein. If the project requires employment of workers in any apprenticeable craft or trade, once awarded, the contractors or subcontractors must apply to the joint apprenticeship council unless already covered by local apprentice standards (Labor Code Section 1777.5). Copies may be obtained from the California Department of Industrial Relations website . The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the amount of the Contract. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the Contract will contain provisions permitting the successful bidder to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the City of Montclair to ensure performance under the Contract. Each bidder must complete and upload to online the following documents with his/her electronic bid prior to the date and time of the bid opening: Contractors Proposal Form (Page C1-C4) Non-Collusion Affidavit (Page D1) Information Required of Bidder (E1-E3) Bidders Guarantee/Bid Bond (Page F1-F2) The required bidders security shall be in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount bid. A bid shall not be considered and will be deemed non-responsive unless one of the forms of bidders security is enclosed with it. If the bid security is delivered or mailed, the address is as follows: City Clerk City of Montclair 5111 Benito Street Montclair, CA 91763 Bid securities mailed to the Citys mailing address may or may not be delivered to the City Clerk on time. It is the responsibility of the prospective bidder to ensure that the City receives the bid security within the allotted time. Documents must be uploaded in PDF (Portable Document Format). Hard copies submitted to the City, in lieu of electronic copies uploaded onto the system, will not be accepted as a viable bid. It is the Bidders responsibility to ensure that their bid documents are properly uploaded onto the City's online bid management system. Bids that are missing pages, cannot be opened, etc., may be considered unresponsive. OWNERS RIGHTS RESERVED: The City Council of the City of Montclair reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards as the interest of the city may require. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, appliances, and equipment for and do all work contemplated and embraced for the PROJECT. Said PROJECT to be performed in accordance with specifications and standards on file in the Office of the City Engineer and in accordance with bid prices hereinafter mentioned and in accordance with the instructions of the Engineer.
