Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to October 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) is seeking an engineering firm experienced with sewer planning, modeling, design and estimating of sewer system expansions into unserved areas. The project is to serve the northern New Hanover County by significantly increasing sewer conveyance capacity. The project consists of a major regional pump station in the general vicinity of Kerr Avenue and College Road with a large diameter sewer force main that discharges at the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant. This infrastructure is identified as the Kerr RPS and 21,565 LF of 24-inch sewer force main on the attached sketch entitled "Northern NHC Sewer Planning to Increase Availability." Sewer design experience shall include design and modeling of manifolded connection pressure force mains.
