A. The Project shall be known as 2021 Guardrail Installation, Repair and Maintenance Project and the general character of said public works project shall consist of the following: This contract is for Guardrail Installation, Repair and Maintenance for the City of Tuscaloosa. Various quantities please see unit price bid sheet. B. The approximate quantities of said Project are as follows: Contractor will provide services on an as needed basis. Various quantities, please see unit price bidder's response form below Please write the project name on the outside of the sealed bid. This project name is 2021 Guardrail Installation, Repair, and Maintenance Project. Bids received after the time and date specified will not be considered. Bidders must identify the project name on the outside of the sealed envelope. Award of the contract will be made within forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of the receipt of bids. Time of Construction: From the date stated in the Notice to Proceed, the Project time of construction is 30 consecutive calendar days. Jobs will be given sporadically over the year and once notice to proceed is given for each job the contractor has 30 calendar days to complete work. This can be adjusted by mutual agreement of the parties Contractor is to provide a minimum five (5) day notice before any work commences in order to assign an inspector and notify the public of any traveling delays. City maintains the right to dictate the hours of work to complete jobs at any given location for the effort to reduce impacts to the traveling public. The term of the Contract shall be for a period of one (1) year from the date of the contract hereof and shall automatically renew each year for up to two (2) years for a total maximum contract term of three (3) years from the date of execution hereof, unless sooner terminated pursuant to the contract.
