Contract is for 60 days with the start date sometime in January still to be determined. The Scope of Work for the Project includes lining existing sanitary sewer pipe, existing manholes and spot repairs of existing abandoned sewer connections. Approximate quantities are: 6,988 LF of 8" diameter pipe, 330 LF of 6" diameter pipe, 61.4 VF of manhole lining and 2 spot repairs. Lining shall be cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) using a resin-impregnated fiberfelt tube. The work includes cleaning and video inspection of the sanitary sewer pipe before lining. Work shall include traffic control, restoration and all other incidental items and work described in the Drawings, Specifications and/or other Contract Documents or reasonably inferable therefrom. The project is funded through the Jefferson County Community Development Block Grant program, CDBG# S1-21-002. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the owner. The Contractor, acting as an independent contractor, shall faithfully and fully perform the Work described in, and shall do everything required by, the Contract Documents or reasonably
inferable therefrom, for the complete construction of the project. The Contractor represents and warrants that he has special skills which qualify him to perform the Work in accordance with the
Contract and that he is free to perform all such Work and is not a party to any other agreement, written or oral, the performance of which would prevent or interfere with the performance, in
whole or in part, of the Work.
