The scope of work includes all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to furnish and install all exterior windows. The selected trade partner is to include all window frames, glazing, hardware, break metal trims, mounting blocks, fasteners, backer rods, sealants and incidentals necessary for a complete, fully functioning, water tight and weather proof installation. The scope of the project includes redevelopment of the Historic St. Louis County Jail is a conversion of the existing 5-story building into multifamily housing with related parking and site work. The site work includes demolition of an existing 1-story building addition on the west side of the Jail building. Work for this project will be in a single contract. Deadline to submit Questions via email to purchasing@duluthmn.gov 1/5/2022 Answers to questions will be posted no later than this date. 1/6/2022 The term of the contract will begin once the contract is fully executed and is anticipated to end by October 2022 A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Duluth, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five per cent (5%) of the total bid. Bids may be withdrawn without forfeiture of surety if the request is submitted by the Bidder and received at the Purchasing Office in writing or by e-mail prior to the scheduled bid opening. The respondent must provide a price for a Payment Bond in the full amount of the project cost. If required, the bond must be provided prior to contract execution. The City reserves the right, in its sole and complete discretion, to reject any and all proposals or cancel the request for proposals, at any time prior to the time a contract is fully executed, when it is in its best interests.
