Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Oakville, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,722-square-foot, two-story above grade clubhouse / community center.
The Town of Oakville (the town) invites tenders for construction services described as: The renovation of two rooms within the River Oaks Community Centre (ROCC). These rooms were previously used as small ice hockey training surfaces, referred to as training pad 1 (a.k.a. goalie school) and training pad 2 (a.k.a. slap-shot school). As part of recent renovations, these ice hockey training surfaces have been decommissioned and is currently used as storage space. To better serve the local community, the Town is seeking to transform these rooms into a fully accessible and flexible space. The objective of this renovation is to provide accessible and multi-purpose area, which can accommodate opportunities for a youth drop-in centre, camp activities, community space available for use by local residents and other community purposes.
