Howard County intends to procure the services of a construction firm to replace Motor Control Center 5 (MCC-5) and relocate equipment loads at Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant. The scope of work consists of furnishing of all materials and labor for the construction of, complete in place, demolishing the existing MCC-5, replacing with new MCC-5, transferring equipment loads and controls, miscellaneous appurtenances and incidental items of work. 1. The furnishing of all material and the construction required for the new / replacement MCC-05 with new electrical gear, conduits, feeders, motor controls, miscellaneous appurtenances and incidental items of work. 2. The furnishing of all material and the construction required for all indicated ATS units, transformers, and panel boards with new conduits, feeders, miscellaneous appurtenances and incidental items of work. 3. Provide housekeeping pad modifications for MCC-05 and provide supports for wall-mounted transformers as well as ATS units and panel boards 4. The furnishing of all material and the construction required for the transfer of existing equipment loads from existing MCC-06 to Panel boards PJ and PR, including conduits and feeders. Loads consist of RAS Pumps 16, 17, and 18 and incidental items of work. 5. The furnishing of all material and the construction required for the transfer of existing equipment loads from existing MCC-06 to MCC-05, including conduits and feeders. Loads consist of FC-3 collector arm, FC-3 scum pump and West Pipe Gallery splitter sump pump and incidental items of work. 6. The furnishing of all material and the construction required for the transfer of existing equipment loads from existing MCC-05 to MCC-22, including conduits and feeders. Loads consist of PC-3 collector arm and PC-4 collector arm and incidental items of work. 7. The furnishing of all material and construction required for the installation of new disconnect switches, local control panel, and associated conduit and wiring for existing scum pumps at Final Clarifiers FC-3, FC-4 and FC-5 and incidental items of work. 8. The furnishing of all material and construction required for the replacement of existing disconnect switches, and addition a new local control panel, and associated conduit and wiring at existing Primary Clarifiers PC-3, and PC-4 for the collector arm and incidental items of work. 9. Provide miscellaneous instrumentation upgrades and testing at field laboratory building. Testing shall include I/O checkout, loop, and SCADA testing. 10. The furnishing of all material and the construction required for the installation of new ventilation system, including fans, ducts, dampers, supports, and miscellaneous appurtenances and incidental items of work. All proposed work shall be completed within 120 calendar days from notice to proceed MBE Participation (%) 15.0 Each bid submission shall be accompanied by an electronic copy of bid bond OR certified check. The bid deposit shall be 5% of the total bid, made payable to "Director of Finance, Howard County". A performance bond and payment bond for the full amount of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder within 10 days after award notification.
