CONTRACT TERM: This service shall begin within ten (10) days after award and anticipated to be completed within six (6) months of Notice of Award. Services shall be completed by 8/31/2021. Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, parts, supplies, supervision, and any other items and services necessary to replace current equipment with a new 300kW Generator and NEMA 3 ATS with 500-gallon skid tank. b) Decommissioning and removal of existing generator and equipment shall be done by Contractor. Bidder should provide salvage cost as a line item in the Attachment B Compensation and Fees that may be taken as a credit. If TFC decides not to take the credit, Contractor will be responsible for removal and transportation to a to be determined salvage yard or other TFC location. c) Installation shall be provided by a licensed electrician and installed on the existing location. All electrical work performed must be in compliance with NFPA 70, NEC and shall be performed by a licensed Journeyman Electrician. d) The generator site is enclosed. Removal of the old equipment and installation of the new will require use of a crane. Contractor is responsible for all necessary equipment to remove, install, and transport. e) Work shall be conducted in manner not to interrupt normal business operations of the building. f) Contractor shall be responsible for Startup and Testing to bring the new 300KW Generator and ATS system online. g) Installation shall include a docking station to allow a portable generator to be connected to the Emergency Distribution System and Generator in case of permanent generator failure and load bank testing. Docking station shall provide an instant method of transferring power from a portable, externally provided generator to the building Emergency Distribution System. h) Contractor shall provide complete Operation & Maintenance Manuals in digital format that includes: i) Construction Drawings ii) Materials /Components list including parts numbers iii) Maintenance and service requirements and methods. i) Installation and equipment shall meet all applicable NEC/NFPA standards. j) Contractor shall provide training to TFC of the newly installed system on how to perform routine testing and maintenance on the system to ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC standards. k) Upon completion of the work, area will be cleaned, and all debris accumulated will be removed from job site so as not to disrupt employees or normal operations of affected area. l) Project Completion Time: Contractor must perform work within timeframe agreed to by TFC and Contractor prior to starting. If Contractor cannot perform work within timeframe stated, Contractor may be subject to liquidated damages up to $1,000.00 per day.
