Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents now on file with the Town of Cathlamet. The Work shall be substantially complete within 120 calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid proposal security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Town of Cathlamet for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, to be forfeited to the Town of Cathlamet by the successful bidder in case they fail to enter into a contract and file an acceptable surety bond in the full amount of the bid to fulfill conditions of said contract within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date awarded. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid proposal security. A mandatory pre-bid conference/walkthrough will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathlamet Fire Department DeBriae Meeting Room, 255 2nd Street, Cathlamet, Washington. Any and all bids shall be submitted on the basis of the contract documents and shall incorporate therein all the laws of the State of Washington. The Town Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding. No bidders may withdraw their bids after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period of sixty (60) days.
