The City of Petoskey requires contractors and subcontractors be pre-qualified prior to commencement of construction. A Bidder who is currently pre-qualified to bid work in the City of Petoskey, is qualified to bid this project. The successful bidder shall be required to enter into contract with the City of Petoskey and to provide proof of Workers Compensation and Public Liability insurances. Bidders acknowledge that no contract is created until a written contract is approved by the City Council and executed by the City. The City is allowed to perform additional investigation after Council action and prior to execution of the actual contact. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days from the day of the bid opening. All proposals shall include a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the contract amount. The City of Petoskey reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to award to the bidder whose bid best serves the interest of the City.
