Project No. 20279-2 No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. The bid security shall be in the form of certified check or cashiers check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or on the Calcasieu Parish School Board Bid Bond Form contained in the Front End Documents written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana with a A.M. Best rating of A or better, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond insurer as a licensed agent in this state and who is residing in this state. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause as permitted by LA. R.S. 38:2214 (B). The ability of an entity to reject any bid is applicable only when administered in accordance with the Public Bid Law. In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (B) (1), the provisions and requirements of this section, and those stated in the Bidding Documents shall not be waived by any public entity. Athletic Field House Roofing Replacement
1) Removal of the north slope side of existing standing seam metal roof,
rake trim, gutters, and miscellaneous trim, and 3 inch vinyl faced
building insulation.
2) For the north slope side, provide and install new 16 inch wide, double
lock standing seam metal roof, rake trim, gutters, ridge, miscellaneous
trim, and 3 inch vinyl faced building insulation.
b. Girls Gymnasium Roofing Replacement
1) Remove existing roofing membranes down to existing light weight
cementitious deck, edge metal, gutters, and miscellaneous trim.
2) Provide and install new SBS modified roofing system, gutter where
shown, connections to existing downspouts, edge metal, rigid board
insulation, and miscellaneous trim.
c. East Classroom Wing Roof Edge Replacement, Edge Reconditioning, and
Mechanical/Electrical Work
1) Remove existing edge metal and damaged mechanical equipment.
2) Provide and install new edge metal/fascia system, recondition roof
edge, and perform rooftop mechanical/electrical work as called for.
d. Boys Gymnasium Roofing Repairs, Roof Edge Replacement, Edge
Reconditioning, and Mechanical/Electrical Work
1) Where called for, remove existing edge metal, gutters, and damaged
mechanical equipment.
2) Where called for, provide and install new edge metal/fascia system,
recondition roof edge, and perform rooftop mechanical/electrical
work as called for.
3) Recondition southeast area of main gym roof where indicated and as
specified.
4) Provide and install new metal roofing and roof truss system as shown
for covered walk on north side of Boys Gym.
