The Work involves performing all work and furnishing all labor, materials and equipment, as provided by the Contract Documents, for a completed work of improvement as follows: FY22 Sewer CIPP Rehabilitation, Contract No. J-2021-28S. The scope of work includes the rehabilitation of approximately 2,857 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains, the rehabilitation of approximately 106 linear feet of sanitary sewer manholes, re-channeling of existing manhole base, and the construction of a new 48-inch manhole. Sewer main rehabilitation work includes but is not limited to: CCTV, cleaning and lining of sanitary sewer mains with cured in place pipe (CIPP), service reconnections, traffic control, and sewage bypass. Sewer manhole rehabilitation work includes but is not limited to: cleaning, chemical grout injection, lining of sanitary sewer manholes, re-channeling of sewer manhole base, testing, and replacement of manhole frames and covers. All Work must be completed within Ninety (90) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. It is agreed that damages for the failure of the Contractor to complete the total Work described herein within the time limits required are impossible to ascertain but that the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per day is a reasonable estimate. Should the Work not be completed within the specified time for completion, the Contractor shall be liable for liquidated damages, payable to the Owner, as set forth in the General Provisions, in an amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each calendar day of delay in completion. In accordance with the provisions of California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15, the Owner requires that: (a) the Bidder be licensed in the State of California, (b) the Bidder's license appears clearly on the Bid, (c) the license expiration date appears on the Bid, (d) the Bid contains a statement that the representations contained therein are made under penalty of perjury, and (e) any Bid not containing this information, or a Bid containing information which is subsequently proven false, shall be considered non-responsive and shall be rejected by the Owner. If federal funds are involved in the Project, no Bid submitted shall be invalidated by failure of the Bidder to be licensed in accordance with the laws of this State. At the time the Contract is awarded, however, the Contractor shall be properly licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. : Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to the Yorba Linda Water District, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, shall promptly execute the Agreement, furnish a satisfactory Faithful Performance Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, furnish a Labor and Materials Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, and furnish certificates and any other documentation requested by the Owner evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the Contract Documents.
