Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in Sloan, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Project consists of replacement of electric boiler with natural gas fired boiler and replacement of the existing hot water circulating pumps. Electrical work includes connections for new mechanical equipment and work to modify the site power distribution system. Each bid shall be made on the form furnished by the Engineer, and must be accompanied by a deposit of money, Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Credit Union Certified Share Draft, or a Bid Bond to be executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in the state of Iowa, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Material and Labor Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum Fabrication of new work for the Site Power Upgrade shall begin immediately after contracts are signed and insurance certificates are approved; the Boiler Demo work shall begin April 30, 2022. Verify work schedule with Owner and Engineer. The Site Power Upgrade shall be substantially complete by May 10, 2022; the Boiler System shall be substantially complete by July 29, 2022. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for all bids and to waive any or all formalities that may be in the best interest of the Westwood Community School District.
