The State of Oklahoma, on behalf of the Oklahoma Military Department, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a new Oklahoma National Guard Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma The Oklahoma National Guard Museum will be approximately 61,422 gross square-feet with a cost ceiling limitation of approximately $40 million (State bond funds). Project award is anticipated to be May 2022 with an estimated project duration of 28 months to be compliant with the State Bond Agreement. The project scope will require the team to design and construct all aspects of the new museum, including museum exhibit spaces. Options will include FFE, telecom, AV systems, and artifact moving from the old facility and installation in the new facility. An additional option to repurpose and renovation the 1930s portion of the existing 45th Infantry Museum is being considered. This option would use annually appropriated funds in addition to the State bond funds and can extend past the expiration of the State Bond Agreement. Design-Builders should understand that any subcontractors not identified in the statement of qualifications must be competitively bid in accordance with State law. Key trades will include structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, fire protection, telecom and AV, FFE, museum specific specialties, set designers, artifact movers, and possibly others. In order to submit a response to the RFQ, Design-Build teams must be registered with the State of Oklahoma. Registration instructions and contacts are included in the RFQ. Subcontractors and trade contractors, whether considered design-build or not, are encouraged to solicit Design-Builders to be a part of the Design-Build team submitting proposals. This notice shall serve as an opportunity to become a trade partner with a Design-Build team.
