Bid security in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Base Proposal must accompany each proposal as described in the "Instruction to Bidders". No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to date of the opening of Proposals and in accordance with the "Supplemental Instructions to Bidders" without consent of the Owner. The construction must be completed in Sixty (60) calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. Bidders shall determine their capability to perform the work within this period prior to bidding. Liquidated damages in the amount of $100.00 (One Hundred dollars) per calendar day shall be assessed for the incompletion of this project within the above-described construction period to offset expenses to the Owner. 10. RESTORATION WORK The Contractor is cautioned that this project involves largely RESTORATION WORK and maintaining the building in its present form is of utmost importance. The contractor shall use construction procedures calculated to protect the building. Any damage shall be repaired or replaced to present condition or better at no cost to the Owner. This project involves public funds and carries the resultant obligations and restrictions 11.REJECTION OF BIDS The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. Proposals which fail to comply fully with the provisions of the specifications and other Contract Documents will be considered invalid and may not receive consideration.
